to the challenge of the day. Nobody is lost in the crowd
here. Everybody counts. Our average class has 20
students; our largest class, about 35 students. The
student-faculty ratio is only 20 to 1 — one of the more
desirable in higher education. At EIC, you'll enjoy
extraordinary access to experienced teacher, to
resources, to opportunities, to the world.
Powerful Teaching
Essex International College will be among the best
comprehensive colleges with our teaching plan. Every
course at EIC is taught by an experience faculty member.
About 90 percent of the faculty hold the highest degree
in their academic field . What’s more, we have powerful
learning resources, including state-of-the-art computers
and all the other high-tech tools you need to carry out
your studies.
Diverse Population
At EIC you'll find people in all their glorious variety.
We draw students of many ages and from nearly every
religious, racial, and ethnic background. We like it
that way — we see our differences as a source of
strength.
Active Student life
An EIC education is about more than courses and credits;
it involves each student as a whole person. We're small
enough so you can make a real contribution, and large
enough to offer an extensive range of extracurricular
choices. You will have plenty of chances to sharpen your
leadership abilities and develop your problem-solving
skills.

Essex International College is located in the heart of
Romford. Romford lies in the county of Essex, a large
county northeast of London with water on 2 sides. Though
it is not as busy as central London, nonetheless it is a
lively, multicultural area with many local opportunities
for part-time jobs and also well-established communities
from around the world.
You will find everything you need is nearby. Romford
town centre, just 2 minutes from the College by walk,
has a bustling high street brimming with shops,
restaurants and other amenities. There is also a
colorful market. The area is ethnically diverse with a
great cultural mix. There are various specialist shops
selling African, Asian, East European and Caribbean
food. Wherever you are from in the world, you are sure
to feel very welcome here.
You may live away from the college in central London or
in another borough, but London has excellent public
transport links so it should be easy to get to classes
on time. Romford is well served by buses and trains.
